"So you mean, we're superheroes?" Devon questioned. " You could say that." Responded James. "Now, you're probably all wondering my superpower, right?" Before we could respond, James split into two. Not like, half and half, but he made another of himself. Then another and another, until there were five of him in the room. All our jaws dropped. He explained the his power with some science sounding junk by taking turns with the other James' in the room. He morphed back into one, and then asked us if we had been experiencing our powers yet.
The other guy, that wasn't Devon or Connor, stands up. "I'm strong. Like, freakishly strong." "Thank you, Evan, right?" Evan says yes and sits back down. Grace stands up hesitantly for the first time. "I can run really, really fast. I've never told anyone before." She sits back down. "Well thanks for telling us." James says with a smile. James looks down at me as if telling me to go. I avoid eye contact praying he doesn't say anything. "Ellie?" Ugh. I stand up slowly to stall, and then just say, "I haven't really experienced anything." Easy and simple.
Devon stands up. "That's not true." Who even is this guy? My gosh I hate him already. Everyone looks at him confused. "While I'm up I'll just go. I can notice when people lie. It's usually true. From, you know, the five times it's happened." Huh. Cool. I still don't like him though. Connor stands up. "Sorry to intrude, but since I'm last I wanna get this over with. I have telekinesis. I can move stuff with my mind. At least I'm pretty sure." He winks at me before sitting down. "Well great! We're going to put you all through training for the next four weeks. We will help you to master your power. We will then decide if you join the society or not. If not, your memories will be wiped of us and your powers. You won't remember you had them. But one more thing before we start. You have to promise not to tell anyone what you see or hear here. It's in the name anyways. Do you promise?" We all say yes, obviously. It's it like we're just gonna be like "sorry nah. No can do misda." Although that would be quite funny. "Let's get started."
Author's Note: Sorry. I may have gotten a little carried away at the end.
